EVERYDAY CHURCH MPLS - CREATIVE DESIGN INTERNSHIP (FEB-SEP 2024)

As a Creative Design Intern at EVERYDAY, I contributed to social media, print materials, and merchandise design. I created Instagram posts, stories, and YouTube thumbnails to engage the community, including dynamic weekly rhythm stories and campaigns like “Every Ones Here” for the EVERY YOUTH Spring retreat.

I also designed print artwork for The Base building and had the honor of having my design featured in the May monthly print. My work extended to merchandise, including the Radical Servant Hats, as well as camp socks and pins for EVERYDAY HEROES Camp Week.

Throughout my internship, I collaborated with the team to ensure designs reflected EVERYDAY’s mission, creating visually engaging content that resonated with the community.

Weekly Rhythm Stories – EVERYDAY
While at EVERYDAY, I was tasked with designing dynamic Instagram Story layouts to serve as weekly reminders of the community’s regular rhythms. These templates were created to be visually engaging, easy to update, and aligned with EVERYDAY’s overall aesthetic—helping foster consistency and connection across their social platforms.

Spring Class Catalog – EVERYDAY
EVERYDAY offers a rotating selection of classes each season. For the Spring term, I was responsible for designing the Instagram class catalog. I focused on creating a clean, user-friendly layout that clearly presented all key details—including class dates, facilitator names, and concise class bios—making it easy for the community to explore and enroll.

"Every Ones Here" Campaign – EVERY YOUTH
EVERY YOUTH, the youth group at EVERYDAY, gathers weekly to connect, commune, and learn together. In the Fall and Spring, they host retreats where participants deepen their faith and build stronger connections. For the Spring retreat, the team launched the “Every Ones Here” campaign. I designed two Instagram posts for the campaign, incorporating playful color schemes and a unifying line that flows across both images. The design aimed to capture the high energy and excitement surrounding the retreat, reflecting the community's enthusiasm and anticipation.

YouTube Thumbnails – EVERYDAY Prayer Room
EVERYDAY regularly records their Prayer Room sessions and shares them on YouTube. During my time with the team, I designed a series of thumbnails to visually represent these sessions. This included experimenting with the interaction between photography and typography to create engaging, consistent visuals that reflect the tone and atmosphere of the content.

In May, I had the privilege of being featured in the monthly print with one of my photographs paired with my favorite Bible verse.

Retreat Room Art – EVERYDAY at The Base
When EVERYDAY opened their new building, The Base, they also introduced retreat rooms adorned with artwork featuring Bible verses and hymns.

Radical Servant Hats – EVERYDAY HEROES
The Radical Servant Bucket Hat and Sailor Hat are two distinctive pieces designed to embody the spirit of service and humility that is central to the EVERYDAY community. Both hats feature hand lettering detail.

Pins – EVERYDAY HEROES
These sweet pin designs showcase the playfulness of the EVERYDAY HEROES Camp Week and serve as little reminders of themes of the week.

STOMP ON FEAR Socks – EVERYDAY HEROES
For one of the camp's weekly themes, "Stomp on Fear," I designed a pair of socks to serve as a visual reminder for the kids. The design emphasized the message that fear is beneath their feet, encouraging them to conquer their fears with confidence.
